Grey and Yellow Wedding

It sounds odd and is most definitely not considered a traditional wedding colour scheme, but I am loving it all the same! It seems to be a pretty quirky and stylish statement to make for your big day and the pictures I've come accross in magazines and online look sooooo good! Just Google 'grey and yellow wedding' and you'll find loads of inspiration. It's definitely my favourite colour scheme at the moment!

I've therefore designed a stationery range using these colours and opted for the currently popular 'pocketfold' style invitation. I've tried to keep it fresh and modern and the outer band adds a stylish finish.

Dried Petal Confetti

Dried petal confetti is gorgeous for pretty, pastel coloured wedding schemes. Not only does it look great, but most churches actually prefer this type of confetti to the usual paper stuff as it doesn't cause long lasting mess and breaks down naturally. It can also be incorporated in to your stationery too!

Just a touch of dried petal confetti is a great way to incorporate a pastel shade into your wedding. As well as being used in your invitations, it can be sprinked across the tables at your reception. Simple, easy and extremely pretty!

Honey Bees!

This is a wedding stationery range that I designed incorporating Honey Bees. The colours are mainly warm caramel and dark chocolate brown with little honey bee illustrations randomly placed throughout.

It's becoming more and more popular now to send out 'Save the Dates' to your guests, usually a couple of months before sending out your formal invitations. A simple and fun alternative to the usual Save the Date Card is to send 'tags' instead.

Add a splash of colour!

More and more couples are now opting to incorporate a splash of colour into their big day. Against a back drop of white or ivory, an accent colour can look really good, not only in the way of bridesmaids dresses, table dressings and flowers, but for the invitations too!

Clients of mine, Lucinda and Lee, are doing a fresh, young take on an English country theme. Their wallet style invitations are a zesty lime green teamed with deep brown text and raffia ties. Outer bands with their names on help to give an overall modern and stylistic look.

Other clients of mine, Victoria and Simon, are having a deep Cadbury's purple colour for their special day. They too have opted for wallet style invitations in a sumptuous, shimmery purple with co-ordinating purple satin ribbon. Delicious!
